About the What If... For the love of Shakespeare – A Midsummer Night’s Dream I've always had a love for Shakespeare, which started during an English class at school. Seeing his plays at the Globe in London allows you to experience how William Shakespeare presented his works to the world. He's a beloved English playwright, poet, and actor who is held in high esteem and much loved. I recently watched A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Kew Gardens. Watching the play unfold before me and being surrounded by trees, plants, and groves brought back fond memories of another time when I watched the same play in Regent’s Park, London. Again, the play comes alive, and it is as if by magic, fairies seem to exist. Sitting there surrounded by people who loved Shakespeare, I was reminded why I wrote Midsummer – with a thought of how William Shakespeare may have written his famous play. A play from a dream.
