Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II


On Thursday 8th September 2022 the flag was flown at half-mast. At 6.30 pm the news of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

It was the first time before the announcement of her death that the nation was informed that the family had been called to Balmoral. It was obvious that her time in this life was coming to an end. Watching the news unfold before your eyes and entirely saddened by the announcement.



Throughout her 70-year reign, Her Majesty dedicated her life to service for her country and the Commonwealth and brought unity and leadership to millions in times of change.

Within the constraints of her duty a woman before her time, a matriarch, a head of nations. She’s the only monarch I have known.
